Coachella 2018 Eyewear

Coachella 2018 is now over, and boy what a weekend of live music. Whether you were there to witness the magic that is Coachella, or you stayed up and watch the live stream via YouTube, you cannot argue that this year’s Coachella is one for the books.

But let’s talk fashion. Eyewear fashion to be exact. We live for festival season and it’s so exciting to see (pun intended) what festival goers are wearing to protect their eyes. We noticed a couple of trends from our Top 7 2017 Trends post very present at Coachella this year.

Light tint lenses. We call them ‘creeper tint’ because they’re lenses that are tinted, but you want people to know that you’re creeping them. Badgal Riri rocked the look alongside attendees of her FentyxPUMA party. Rose or red tints seemed to be the common theme in the dessert for light tinted sunglasses. Red tint helps relax the eyes, and can be worn both during the day and at night when sets put on a lightshow.

Small retro sunglasses. These shades provide little to no coverage, but they do give a heavy 90s vibe to your fit. Brands like Roberi & Fraud and Ray-Ban were seen on stars rocking the look. We love how Jasmine Sanders, Shay Mitchell, Miguel and Joan Smalls rocked the dainty sunglasses. This trend is sure to continue all summer long.
